Ron April 06, 2024 for Model Number 66513693N412 I'm getting a lot condensation on top of the dishwasher between the control panel and top fo the cabinet. From there the water drips on the right corner after about couple of hours of running the unit. I replaced this vent and fan assembly WPW10469574 thinking maybe it had failed causing extra steam or condensation on top of the control panel somehow but that didn't resolve the issue. What do you think is causing my leak?
1 Answer Ron, If the vent assembly did not solve the issue (make sure the vent is functioning) you might check the door gasket to make sure it is sealing properly as well. Read More...
Jim January 03, 2023 for Model Number 665.12793k313 Drying is on the display all the time even after dishwasher is finished . Does not shut off. Can hear fan running Thanks for your time Jim
1 Answer Jim, This issue would most likely be caused by a relay in the control board that is stuck keeping the fan on continuously. The control board would need to be replaced for this issue. Read More...
John August 17, 2018 for Model Number kude60hxss6 Our dishwasher is leaking a small amount of water during the drying cycle and at no other time. It is not condensation although that was my initial thought since it is at the bottom left. Would replacing the fan blower assembly fix the problem? Especially if the problem might be the the damper door?
1 Answer John, It most likely is condensation, Check to make sure the water isn't too hot. Check the upper spray arm/nozzle to make sure it moves properly and isn't spraying the water towards the vent cover at the top of the inner door panel, and the detergent and rinse aid isn't "foaming" up. If you remove the lower kick plate panel, you should find the tech data sheet attached to the back of the panel. You can review any error codes logged by the eeprom, and can operate all the components of the dishwasher. Read More...

Bad Karma October 26, 2016 for Model Number Kenmore Elite 12783 We've been experiencing problems for a year with this vent part. It has been replaced once by Sears. It has failed again, allowing steam to exit the side of the door and ruin the adjacent cabinet. It seems either the damper is malfunctioning, the fan, or both. Can you tell me the purpose of the gap in the assembly by the fan? Does the fan create enough pressure to keep the steam from entering the door panel cavity? I've already replaced my circuit panel as I think the steam was damaging it. Does this include the o-ring gasket?
1 Answer Bad Karma, To properly assist you we will need your model number to help you with this. Please post your model number with a new question on the parts page. http://www.appliancepartspros.com/modelnumber_locator.aspx Read More...
Michael July 27, 2016 for Model Number KUDE70FSSX5 How can I test if the vent is closing when it should be? I'm getting a lot of steam in the middle of door and it seems to be causing my control panel to short and make some lights come on dimly after I run a cycle.
1 Answer Hello Michael. The best way is to watch it during the drying cycle and see if it does. If not, then you will need to replace the control board. You also need to check all the seals. One may be bad and allowing steam into the door. Read More...
