The air filter cartridge cleans the air as it comes into the engine. It will remove any particles and debris, keeping the engine free from buildup and problems. The air filter will become dirty and clogged with regular use and needs to be replaced as a part of routine maintenance. This is typically done once or twice a season, depending on frequency of use. It may be necessary to replace intermittently if there is an emergency issue. Air filters cannot be cleaned and should always be replaced with a genuine OEM replacement.
