This oil seal is a common part engineered to work in engines that power generators, vacuum cleaners, snowblowers, leaf blowers, mowers, and other small engine applications. The seal sits between the crankcase and the crankshaft. It is designed as a barrier to prevent oil leakage and to stop contaminants from leaving the crankcase. When the gasoline engine exhibits diminished power, and especially if it begins to emit oily gray or bluish smoke, there is a good chance the oil seal needs to be replaced. In order to replace the faulty seal, begin by removing the starter housing and taking off the nut that holds the starter wheel to the main shaft. The user will find the old seal on this shaft. Remove it and install the new seal, pushing it into place with the edges of a socket, then tapping it securely into place with a hammer. When choosing a replacement seal, remember to use an OEM genuine replacement part that is guaranteed to match the specs for the original part. This will ensure a quality match and long replacement life. This seal is compatible with Toro, Lawn-Boy, and Briggs & Stratton engines.

This is a cylinder head gasket used on Briggs & Stratton small gasoline engines to replace the original gasket that sits between the cylinder, where the engine's combustion takes place, and the head, the top of the engine manifold. Typically the head gasket lasts for many years. With continued use, particularly if the mower or other small engine is used commercially, the user may notice leaking oil or heavy, white smoke coming from the mower when it runs. This is often a sign that the head gasket has been compromised and needs to be replaced. This gasket fits most Briggs & Stratton engines and is a genuine OEM replacement part guaranteed to be identical to the worn gasket that is being replaced. In order to replace the gasket, begin by removing the head bolts and the smaller screws that secure the pull cover; remove the head; scrape the remaining parts of the old gasket from the top of the cylinder head; sand down both the head and the cylinder surfaces and finish with paint thinner; make certain the new gasket seats precisely where the original was, then reverse the disassembly process. Make certain not to over tighten the screw when reassembling the mower. This gasket will fit most models of Briggs & Stratton small engines on machines such as lawn mowers, tillers, pressure washers, and edgers.

This replacement crankcase gasket is a genuine OEM part designed for a range of different small gas-powered lawn appliance engines. It is commonly found in tillers and lawn mowers. The crankcase is a housing for the crankshaft, which receives reciprocal motion from the pistons and transforms it into rotation motion. This gasket helps seal the crankcase to create an airtight chamber and prevent oil from leaking so that the crankshaft can operate smoothly. As the engine runs, it produces a lot of heat and gases that eventually wear on gaskets. Over time, all of this stress can cause a gasket to degrade and break its seal. If this happens, oil will leak from the crankcase, the engine will easily overheat, and greyish white smoke will visibly blow out from the exhaust pipe. Replacing a crankcase gasket will require disassembling much of the engine, as it is an internal part, so we recommend following the owner's manual or consulting the manufacturer's website for instructions. This part is a high-quality replacement gasket manufactured to exactly match the specifications of the original part. It is compatible with Toro and Briggs & Stratton engines and ships individually.

This screw, manufactured by Briggs & Stratton, has multiple uses in small and medium sized gasoline powered engines, including generators, leaf blowers, lawn mowers, log splitters, chippers, tillers, pressure washers, and vacuums. Bolts of this design are used to secure engines and accessories to the body of the power tool. Manufactured with a smooth nozzle, these bolts are capable of withstanding four times the resistance of a regular hex bolt. For this reason, they are often used to secure the housing of moving parts, such as the cylinder head. Periodically, the wear and tear experienced by any engine will result in interior pieces needing to be replaced. In such cases it always a good idea to also replace the hardware that secures the various parts of the device together. Flange bolts and nuts should be replaced with genuine OEM parts such as this one, which is manufactured to meet the same specifications as the original. Occasionally, the high heat of the engine, coupled with extensive use, can cause a hex bolt such as this to freeze up. In such a case, a machinist is necessary to drill out the original bolt and retap the hole so the bolt can be used. This screw is compatible with equipment manufactured by Briggs & Stratton, Simplicity, MTD, Craftsman, Lawn Boy, Toro, Cub Cadet, and Murray.

This oil seal is used in a range of small engines, such as those found in lawnmowers. It ensures the oil stays inside of the crankcase and seals the shaft to provide the correct engine pressure. The seal also reduces the risk of leaks.Over time, oil seals will wear out and need to be replaced. They could crack, break, or shrink. This could result in leaks, and engine performance could be affected. Whenever servicing the case, it is recommended to check and replace the oil seals. Both seals and gaskets should be inspected as part of routine maintenance. To perform the replacement, pliers, a wrench set, and a screwdriver will be needed. The engine needs to be cool and the oil needs to be drained before making the replacement. The oil seal is made from durable, high-quality rubber. This is a genuine OEM replacement part that can be used in a wide range of small engines and lawn mowers from Briggs & Stratton and Toro. The oil seal is sold individually.

The flywheel key is the component on outdoor equipment that keeps the flywheel connected to the crankshaft. Over time, this key may become damaged or broken, particularly if the engine experiences a forceful stop, like hitting a large stationary object. If the flywheel key breaks, the engine will not start. A slightly damaged flywheel key is noticeable through symptoms like misfiring, backfiring, or having no power. If any of these are occurring, the flywheel key should be replaced to prevent complete engine failure.A flywheel puller tool is required for this repair. Make sure the engine is cool before working on the flywheel. Wear safety gear, including gloves and eye protection. Disconnect the spark plug and remove the blower housing. Remove the flywheel mounting nut and set it aside. Take the recoil starter cup off the mower. Use the flywheel puller to remove the flywheel and access the flywheel key. Remove the broken flywheel and replace it with the new flywheel. Reverse the steps to put the mower back together. This flywheel key is made of an aluminum alloy and is sold as an individual part. It is designed for use in lawnmowers, lawn tractors, and other small engines manufactured by Briggs and Stratton, Toro, Lawn-Boy, Simplicity, MTD, and others.

This screw is a genuine Midwest Engine replacement part for small engine appliances, including lawn tractors, lawn mowers, snowblowers, leaf blowers, vacuums, and tillers. The purpose of a screw is to tightly link materials together through rotation that pierces into the material. A screw might have to be replaced in the event that it is lost or misplaced, a common occurrence due to its size. A screw might also be replaced if it deteriorates over time, through erosion, cracking, or piercing, thereby reducing its efficacy in holding materials together. This kind of damage can be attributed to general overuse, to age, or simply to long-term exposure. If a screw is subject to any of this kind of damage, it is best to replace it immediately, as the materials held together by the screw must continue to be held together. Remember to always wear gloves when handling, repairing, and operating outdoor equipment. This screw is compatible with the following brands: Briggs & Stratton, Toro, Cub Cadet, and Lawn Boy.

This valve spring is made for small engines and works on a range of different types of outdoor equipment. The valve spring plays an important role in internal combustion engines. A camshaft will open the valves, often using valve lifters. The spring is responsible for closing the lifters. Some of the symptoms of a broken valve spring include performance issues such as misfiring and loss of power, noise from the valve, and eventually internal damage to the machine's engine. Those who believe they have a damaged or broken valve spring should replace the spring as soon as possible. This will ensure the machine continues to run properly. This is a genuine OEM valve spring that is sold individually. The spring will work for many types of small engines including those found on lawn mowers, tillers, yard vacuums, and generators. Brands that can utilize the valve spring include Toro, Cub Cadet, MTD, Simplicity, Craftsman, Lawn-Boy, Murray, and Briggs & Stratton.

This air cleaner gasket is a genuine replacement that is designed for select models of 3-5 HP small engines from Briggs & Stratton. The air cleaner gasket is designed to fit between the air cleaner and the carburetor assembly. This helps to create a seal between the two components and ensure that air does not leak out of the engine to provide the appropriate pressure. Gaskets are exposed to a lot of heat and pressure, along with constant vibrations, which can cause them to become frail or brittle over time. Replacing them is usually considered a part of routine maintenance and OEM parts should always be used. This genuine OEM air cleaner gasket is manufactured to exact standards and can be used on select engines from Briggs & Stratton and Toro. The engines are typically found on equipment like blowers, lawn mowers, generators, and other small lawn and garden machines. This gasket is sold as a single unit and does not include additional components or hardware. To replace the gasket, be sure to have the appropriate tools and a cool engine for best results. The spring-governed idle is the spring the connects to the governor, which will allow the throttle to open and close. Opening and closing the throttle helps to control the engine's power by regulating the amount of fuel or air that goes into the engine. Over time, the spring may lose some of its tension, which means it will no longer function properly. In those cases, the spring should be replaced immediately. Additionally, if the spring is damaged in any way, it should be replaced. Typically, you will not need any tools when replacing the spring-governed idle. This is a genuine OEM part from the manufacturer, and it is sold individually. The spring will work on a range of machines, including lawnmowers, pressure washers, edgers, and other small engines. This replacement friction spring is a genuine OEM part meant for any number of small appliance engines run using a starter rope. This spring absorbs large amounts of kinetic energy that could damage the starter rope pulley system. It helps keep the pulley from being overstretched, which would create enough pressure to break the entire system. This spring sits at the center of the pulley system and creates resistance as the user yanks the starter rope. Friction springs can become worn out after repeated use, especially if a user tends to yank the starter rope quite forcefully. The most obvious sign of a worn of friction spring is if the pulley system lacks any resistance. As the user pulls the cord, they should feel a little pull back, but if the friction spring is worn, there will be much less resistance. Replacing this part is straightforward and will only require a screwdriver. Simply open the pulley system, carefully remove the old spring, and install the new one. This part is compatible with a wide number of appliances from Toro, Vanguard, Briggs & Stratton, and Lawnboy. It comes sourced from the original manufacturer and ships individually.

Firing up the lawn mower should be a simple act: hold down the safety bar, grip the hand pull, and yank the rope. What if nothing happens? The pulley works by tightening the spring, then letting it loose, creating compressed air and fuel at the same time the magneto fires the spark plug. It is rare to have an issue with the pulley spring assembly that starts the chain reaction and results in the engine coming to life, but it is possible for the part to fail. If there is a problem with the starter mechanism then it is typically the rope pull wearing out. Users will know when the pulley assembly isn't working either because there is no resistance when the rope is pulled or pulling the rope results in no compression (the engine doesn't sound as if it's turning). When it is determined that the pulley spring needs to be replaced, the user should examine the pull rope and handle to make sure those items do not need to be replaced as well. The most important consideration in replacing this part is to make sure the replacement is an OEM genuine replacement part, which will exactly match this pulley. The pulley is compatible with Cub Cadet and Briggs & Stratton engines.
