This NTC thermistor assembly is the temperature-sensing probe and harness the control uses to read actual temperatures and regulate operation. Replacing a failed sensor restores accurate temperature feedback for consistent performance and proper cycling. What it does:

Senses temperature via a negative temperature coefficient element; resistance decreases as temperature rises
Sends the signal to the control board to manage operation and cycle timing as designed
Typical symptoms include inaccurate temperatures, not maintaining set temperature, extended run times or short cycling, and sensor-related error codes
Often reads out of range when tested at known temperatures
