  • Provides a mounting surface and alignment for the drum bearing and shaft
  • Keeps the drum centered to prevent wobbling, scraping, and uneven wear
  • Reduces loud bearing or metal-on-metal noises caused by a damaged plate
  • Helps maintain smooth drum rotation and proper belt alignment
