The Thermal Fuse is an OEM replacement part for Whirlpool ovens. This safety device is designed to prevent the oven from overheating by cutting off electrical power if the internal temperature exceeds a safe level.
The thermal fuse can fail due to normal wear and tear, prolonged exposure to high temperatures, or electrical surges. Accumulation of grease and debris around the fuse can also cause it to malfunction.
