Replacing was a breeze, but removing the old broken part was a bit challenging. There was a small metal rod that needed to be slid out for the old part to come out, but it was not easy to do. I used screwdriver and pliers for like 30 minutes to slide out the metal rod. Otherwise, everything else was easy to do. Jesse B Peabody , MA February 07, 2021 Broken freezer door handle hinging mounts. I could not find an exact video of the repair on appliance parts pros.No YouTube videos for my model. However, I found one similar enough to get an understanding of how the mechanism works. It took some gentle maneuvering to not break the new part installing. As well “still not sure why Samsung made these parts out of plastic”. Luckily appliance parts pros were the only website I could find that sold the replacement part. Took a bit to figure out how to slide the pin over to get the old part out. Also, it took some strength to pull it out. After the pin was slid over the removal and install of the new part was really easy. Replaced with the new part and did everything in reverse. took me about five minutes.
