Anil K Cary , NC March 12, 2016 Appliance: Samsung Refrigerator RF4287HARS/XAA-0001 Water doesn't dispense when filter is installed I have a Samsung Refrigerator (with french doors) - Model #RF4287HARS - When I install the filter the water doesn't flow through the dispenser. But when I remove the filter the water flows fine. I read online that the problem is the filter housing (part number DA97-08006B). I contacted AppliancePartPros and then confirmed the part number. I ordered it and the part came in less than 3 days. However, Samsung refrigerators are pretty complicated to open and repair. I tried looking for any online videos/instructions but couldn't find anything. I contacted AppliancePartsPros again to see if they could help me in anyway. The customer service rep said she would send a note to their tech team to see if they can send me the service manual. Within 2 days, I got the service manual and I was extremely delighted. Today, I replaced the part and water is flowing through the dispense with the filter! It took around 2 hours to complete the repair but tell you what, I saved close to #300 by not calling Samsung service. Truely, AppliancePartsPros are awesome. Thanks a ton for your help! Kirk C Parkville , MO April 22, 2016 Appliance: Samsung Refrigerator RF4287HARS/XAA-0001 Water leaking inside refrigetator and dripping inside 4th drawer The coupler that connects the water lines to the water filter was leaking at connection. Originally believed it was the water filter gasket but after replacing with a new filter it continued to leak. The repair is very easy but takes time to disassemble the housing the contains the coupler. The crisper drawers and shelf unit needs to be removed to access the vertical shelf brace housing. You will need to remove the front vanity piece then split the housing apart. There are two screws in addition to several clips on the top and bottom of the housing. There is also two screws that the housing secures to the back wall and a hidden clip. From there it is simple, just split the housing and replace the part. I only needed the coupler but was only available with the hoses. Read More... 7 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers
Robert V Chesapeake , VA March 13, 2016 Appliance: Samsung Refrigerator RF4287HARS/XAA-0001 Slow refrigerator water dispenser I was at my wits end. It seemed Noone had the same priblem. My fridge water dispenser was working, just at about half speed. I replaced the filter at least 4 times and it was always the same it worked just not as fast as it should. BTW, I have a Samsung RF4287HARS. There was also a humming/slight vibrating when using the water dispenser. I explained what was going on to the online chat and they recommended the filter assembly case. I replaced it and wala. It work as it should. Jeff W Kansas City , MO February 05, 2017 Appliance: Samsung Refrigerator RF4287HARS/XAA-0001 Water quit dispensing After I found the part on APPro.com. I also, called and asked for a PDF of the service manual, the rep sent it and suggested I look it over before ordering the part. Although it was not perfectly clear I ordered the part. It was on my door step 3 days later. Within 1 hr I had the part in and water was working like new. While things were apart I took the opportunity to clean out the dust bunnies. In all I spent about 2 hrs on the entire job. Thanks APPros.com Ps. I had to use the original lines on the refrigerator the ones that came with the part were to short. Joseph B West Warwick , RI January 31, 2017 Appliance: Samsung Refrigerator RF4289HARS/XAA-0001 Water leak from water filter head This was a slow water leak that led to a large ice sheet building up under the center draw so it took a while to diagnose the source of the leak. Once I had it narrowed down to the filter or the filter head I took the filter case apart to see if the repair was doable. For somebody with average skills it was not that difficult once you removed the crisper drawers and shelf to get to the filter case. The filter case itself has 2 screws and 7 or 8 plastic clips on the top and bottom holding it together. Take your time and all will come apart, note that there is a cold water bottle in the filter case as well, that's why there are 4 plastic hoses coming out of it and only two with the new filter head. The blue hose from the filter head just fits, length wise, so be sure to seat everything in place before making the connection to the input valve. I did discover the cause of the leak as a hairline crack in the old filter head, Samsung does not warranty this part after 1 year. AppliancePartsPros had the part shipped to me the next day. Great service. Read More... 1 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers, Wrench Set
