Joe G Coppell , TX January 17, 2015 Appliance: Model SAMSUNG RSG307/AARS Originally thought it was the water pump turned out to be cap assembly on water filter troubleshooting isn't easy Bought the water pump and installed it, but that didn't fix the problem. Still no ice or water out of our two year old Samsung. Spoke with a very helpful rep at AppliancePartsPros, sorry I don't have his name. Also spoke with a very knowledgeable woman who also helped me out. Returned the water pump and bought the assembly for the water filter. That fixed the problem, ice and water again. AND no repair service call ($125). Thank you. Read More... 1 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 1-2 hours Tools: Screwdrivers
Kent P Saint Louis , MO January 14, 2017 Appliance: Samsung Refrigerator RSG307AARS/XAA-0001 Water filter leaking Replaced the water filter casing (the part that the water filter screws into). There is a tiny plastic piece that the filter pushes in that allows the water to come out at the bottom of the casing that was slowly leaking water. Figuring out how to get the old casing off was the tricky part. There is a tiny red piece at the base of the white tube that has to be pulled out, then you have to push the tube into the casing and use a pliers to keep the gray sleeve from pulling out while you pull the white tube out.
