Rick S Merritt Island , FL January 06, 2015 Appliance: Samsung Refrigerator RF26XAERS/XAA A broken spring clip on the ice router Since the spring clip was difficult if not impossible to get to, I replaced the entire ice route assembly. Your website was a great help and I have bookmarked it for future use! It took about 6 days to receive it but it was over Christmas so the holiday rush slowed it down a bit. It was the correct part, it went in easy and I thank you! I made a video for You Tube on how to change the ice router as Samsung gives no guidance on this matter. I plugged your website in the filming because of how impressed I was by your site. I still have to edit it and I will get it up online in the next couple of weeks. Jay S Leland , NC September 05, 2016 Appliance: Samsung Refrigerator RF267AERS/XAA-0001 Broken spring on ice chute flap wouldn't close Replaced the whole unit because I was told that the spring or flap/spring portion could no longer be ordered separately. After I had ordered the whole unit, I did find the spring alone available on another site but thought I might as well replace the unit since I was going to have to take it apart anyway. The hardest part was removing the cover without breaking any of the clip portions. The instructions I saw here said that after removing the one screw on the bottom that there were 2 "slots" to press and pull on. There are no slots, it's just the whole gray bottom panel that you pull toward you and up as it comes out. Not having done this before and being afraid of breaking it since it doesn't seem like you are doing the right thing using that much force I took a taped end chisel and carefully wedged it in between the front panel and door and popped out one of the holding clips. The just worked around and got them all to release. Replacing the unit is a no-brainer since there are just 2 screws holding it in place and you can only connect the wire harnesses one way. Bruce S Pepperell , MA August 20, 2016 Door on ice return would not close Replaced assembly, pretty straight forward. Had a bit of difficulty unplugging a connection, did not want to pull wire out of connector. The replacement was a bit different design and did not have a hole for the screw from the under side all the others line up fine. Not a big deal control panel snaps in place tight Read More... Chris P Southington , CT July 22, 2017 Appliance: Samsung Refrigerator RF26XAERS/XAA Ice chute flap broke Rather than trying to repair a tiny spring machanism I figured why not replace the entire part that feeds ice cubes from ice bucket out through the chute on the door. The part I ordered was exactly what I needed as your website allows the option to verify the part will fit the model number needing repair. The part was delivered to my doorstep 24 hours after I placed my order which was amazing. Very satisfied!! Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers
