David B Pomaria , SC August 06, 2016 Appliance: Samsung Microwave Hood Combo SMH1816B/XAA-0000 One row on the keypad stopped functioning (included the zero button) There were no error codes, and the microwave otherwise functioned normally. So I presumed the keypad had partially failed. Reseating the ribbon cable did nothing so I purchased the replacement. Two screws on the bezel, 2 screws to remove the keypad. Cables to the board are color coded so removal and replacement was simple. Round trip 20 minutes including extra cleaning while the bezel was off to remove the grease and junk that had built up behind the bezel. Shipping was very fast, part was perfect and our microwave is as good as new.
