Calvin B Hartsville , SC January 09, 2017 Samsung refrigerator had a broken vegetable drawer rail I removed the broken rail saving the 2 Phillips head screws for installation of new drawer rail. Removal of the shelf above the drawers was required and was accomplished by pushing a button on the front of the shelf support. The installation was a snap and took about 10 minutes after removal of food items. The part was the correct one as verified by the model number on the inside of the refrigerator door. REMOVING GLASS ASSY WAS A SNAP. HOWEVER, I WOULD RECOMMEND PURCHASING THE 2 GLASS RETAINERS AS THEY ARE FLIMSY TO SAY THE LEAST. I WOULD NOT HAVE A PROBLEM NOW THAT I HAVE SEEN IT. Sheryl B Shiner , TX July 26, 2020 Appliance: Samsung Refrigerator RFG298AARS/XAA Drain hole in refrigerator freezing up and causing water underneath the drawer to freeze. Also had a broken rail for vegetable drawer. Removed everything from the refrigerator including the shelves. Took back panel off and defrosted unit and replaced the defrost heater. Blain B Nephi , UT July 11, 2016 The slide mechanism which held the vegetable drawer had snapped in 1/2 I took out the old piece and installed the new piece. Had to remove 2 screws to take the old piece out. This is the 2nd time I have had to do this. Not sure why it keeps on breaking? Easy to fix Read More...
