Dewey M Henderson , TX November 22, 2018 Appliance: Samsung Range NE595R0ABSR/AA-0000 The oven would not work the display was showing an error code but the code could not be deciphered because several lcd elements had not been working for a long time I assumed the controller had been damaged by a power surge caused by the power company. The controller would reboot after the power was cycled, but it would eventually crash again and the oven would not work and the display would simply flash an error code which was indiscernible because several elements of the LCD didn't work. I ordered a controller board and the transformer just in case it was damaged. However, a new transformer came already attached to the controller board. I installed the new controller board but this did not fix my problem. It did, however, fix the display and I could now see the error code which was SE. SE indicates a stuck switch on the film switch panel. I ordered the film switch Sunday afternoon. AppliancePartsPro shipped it on Monday and Tuesday morning I installed it. Now it all works again, just in time for Thanksgiving! Tips: 1) I took several pics with my phone before starting just in case I had trouble figuring out which wire attached where. 2) The film switch panel is secured to a metal mount with adhesive. A chemical adhesive remover is very handy for cleaning the surface of the metal mount plate so the film switch can be placed neatly back on the mount. 3) The most mysterious step in the repair for me was disconnecting the ribbon cable from the control board. The connector is soldered to the board and is comprised of two pieces, but they do not come apart! The top piece is like a wedge that secures the ribbon cable to the other part. Just pull the top piece up a little and it will release the ribbon cable. Make sure the ribbon cable is placed deep enough to make connection when replacing it, and push the top back in to secure the connection. Angela D Tiverton , RI September 02, 2015 Se (5e) error code on samsung stove I got this error code when roasting some watery vegetables (summer squash and zucchini) which created too much steam in the oven. I got the error code and could not clear it (may have shorted the pcb?) When unplugging the unit and waiting did not work, I replaced the printed control board (pcb). It was very easy and the stove is back to normal. Read More... 36 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers
Bryan A Lake City , FL February 05, 2017 Appliance: Model NE595ROABSR After power surge yop burners worked but oven did not also when clear button was pressed would only beep After reading other peoples posts on here and asking the Parts Pro (who emailed me back in a day or so), I ordered the new PCB Main Board and installed it yesterday. Install was very easy, the only connection that could be a little tricky was one ribbon cable on the left side of the board, be careful as the black connector does not completely pull out, it just pulls out a little bit to release the ribbon cable. The new board has the same connector on it also, so just slide the ribbon cable into the new one and press it back in to fasten. The oven works like new again!! Lets see how long this part will last, hopefully many years. Read More... 14 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers
