Stefanie C Galloway , OH July 04, 2016 Appliance: Samsung Dryer DV5471AEP/XAA Drum wouldn't stop even when power off no heat After determining that others who had this problem fixed it by replacing the circuit board, I decided to try that. Not knowing which of the two circuit boards was the problem, I purchased and replaced both. My original intent was to try replacing only one at a time, but since I had difficulty getting the pieces reassembled, I replaced both and called it a day. I'm a middle-aged woman with no appliance repair experience. From the time I ordered the parts (with standard shipping) to the time the parts were on my doorstep, was under 24 hours. Awesome. Other than the fact that I couldn't find ANY instructions anywhere on how to do this replacement or even how to disassemble this part of the dryer, I was able to eventually figure it out. I found the pieces really difficult to align...this was the most time-consuming part of the job...not intellectually difficult, just "puzzle" difficult. Definitely worth of effort since it sounds like having a repairman come out to do this would cost over $400, and I fixed it for $120. Not to mention the sense of accomplishment:) Read More... 3 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 1-2 hours Tools: Screwdrivers
