Stefanie C Galloway , OH July 04, 2016 Appliance: Samsung Dryer DV5471AEP/XAA Samsung Dryer Dv5471aep/Xaa / : Drum wouldn't stop even when power off no heat. How to replace Dryer Control Pcb Assembly. After determining that others who had this problem fixed it by replacing the circuit board, I decided to try that. Not knowing which of the two circuit boards was the problem, I purchased and replaced both. My original intent was to try replacing only one at a time, but since I had difficulty getting the pieces reassembled, I replaced both and called it a day. I'm a middle-aged woman with no appliance repair experience. From the time I ordered the parts (with standard shipping) to the time the parts were on my doorstep, was under 24 hours. Awesome. Other than the fact that I couldn't find ANY instructions anywhere on how to do this replacement or even how to disassemble this part of the dryer, I was able to eventually figure it out. I found the pieces really difficult to align...this was the most time-consuming part of the job...not intellectually difficult, just "puzzle" difficult. Definitely worth of effort since it sounds like having a repairman come out to do this would cost over $400, and I fixed it for $120. Not to mention the sense of accomplishment:) 3 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 1-2 hours
