Samsung DC90-10128N Washer Water Temperature Thermistor Assembly OEM Part

I first check the schematics to find the heat sensor. On my model it's c on the control panel. I checked the continuity on the orange and white wires. It showed some continuity but not much. I then went to the heater element and found the orange and white wires going to the thermistor. Turns out the heater element and thermistor need repalced.

First had local repairman look at it for $89. He told me it needed a new harness and something else and that there was only one left in the entire eastern part of the country. His estimate for repairing was over $400 not including the first charge. I said I would contact Samsung and Lowes since the machine was just over 2 yrs old. Then looked on line for what error code E8 meant and found your site which suggested replacing the water temp termistor. With shipping it came to $17. I watched your video on the repair and was able to complete the project in about a half an hour. Thank you very, very much. The video detailed the project clearly without using jargon and allowed me to easily complete the job saving a lot of money. I will certainly refer to your site should the occasion warrant in the future and will recommend your site to others.

Installed new temperature sensor

After searching out the reason for the code I ordered the thermistor. It arrived quickly and installed easily. After putting the washer back together and plugging it in it was still throwing the te error code. After taking a short break to cuss up a storm I looked up the issue on the internet. After reading about issues with the wiring on this model I decided to chase down all the wires to look for problems. I started at the bottom in the rear of the machine. I removed a small amount of padding from the wires behind the drum coming off the thermistor lead and found the white wire cut clean. I spliced the white wire back together and also did the orange wire because to looked to have a weak spot. I reassembled the washer and plugged it in and no more code! Working fine now.

Goggled the "TE" error and troubleshot the problem to a faulty Water Temperature Thermistor. Ordered the part from AppliancePartsPros. Part came in timely manner. Installed part and washer working fine now. With "Eight" grandkids at my house a faulty washer is NOT AN OPTION. Thanks AppliancePartsPros for your quick response!
