Jonathan R Mequon , WI March 27, 2016 Appliance: Samsung Refrigerator RF266AASH/XAA-0000 French door center flap spring ripped out flap no longer opened automatically when door closed In order it SHOULD be done: Pried off two white caps covering the screws that attach the flap to the left door, then removed screws. Lifted flap up to remove from door and disconnected cable. Used a thin blade to pry out the inner cover of the flap, then carefully pried out the insulation piece inside. Loosened the screw holding the center cap from the inside and removed cap. Worked the cable out of the hinge piece so it could be removed and cable pulled through case. Pried upper and lower caps off to remove hinge pieces. Swapped everything over to the new flap case in reverse order, re-installed flap on door, and installed spring with its pin sheath. Done! I did like your video. Removed the caps on the upper and lower hinges and the two screws of the middle hinge. Removed the wire spring on the lower hinge. Lifted and tilted the mullion enough to remove the broken top hinge and install the new hinge. Installed the door mullion on the upper and lower hinges. and re-installed the two screws on the center hinge. Installed the upper and lower caps, locking in the hinges. Re-installed the wire spring.
