James C Cary , NC September 02, 2019 Ice maker in freezer was overfilling I started by replacing the water filter assembly since it was leaking after I attempted to install a non-name-brand filter. The new assembly didn't fix the problem (but was hard to find, and AppliancePartsPros was amazing in being able to get one). Further, while replacing that I noticed that the previous owner had literally cut out the grounding pin from the power cord. I decided to replace the power cord and the Ice Maker Assembly. None of the online stores seemed to have either part listed (they described only the refrigerator ice maker), so I called in. AppliancePartsPros spent probably 15 minutes on the phone going over details and meticulously looking--and both parts were exactly what I needed. With everything in hand, the actual repair took only about 10 minutes. Jeffrey S Temecula , CA June 09, 2023 Appliance: Samsung Refrigerator RS25J500DSR/AA-01 Samsung refrigerator not cooling. I noticed on the plug that the ground pin was bent/broken. I know that these refrigerators need to show active ground otherwise will not cool to protect condenser. I ordered part from AppliancePartsPros.com, and watched video to replace power cord. I took a $40 gamble and replaced power cord. The refrigerator did not cool right away, but left it plugged in for about 45 min and came back to hear the quiet condenser and opened freezer and refrigerator side and felt the cold air. Now I can sell this refrigerator my wife bought for $100 and will; sell it for $500. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers
