Jon K Bozeman , MT January 04, 2016 Appliance: Samsung Refrigerator RS2545SH/XAA Samsung rs2545sh cooling was uneven throughout refrigerator 55 degrees on top shelf 38 degrees on middle shelf The blower motor that circulates air through the refrigerator was broken. I had to remove all the shelving and drawers from the refrigerator. Then I had to remove the plastic light cover from the center of the fridge. Then I removed all visible screws to uncover the evaporator/radiator. I then unplugged the light bulb and motor wires. Luckily all wiring is keyed so that it can be plugged in again without error. I removed the motor by opening the motor housing. The housing has 1 screw and then snaps open. I then removed the blower fan fins by prying off the spring keeper and then prying off the fins themselves. I replaced the blower motor with Evaporator Fan Motor part number DA31-00146E (AP4136569). I then reattached the blower fan fins, re-assembled the motor into the motor housing, plugged the wires back in and re-inserted all the screws. The repair was successful and the refrigerator is now cooling properly. Quick test note: To test the fan operation with the refrigerator door open, you need to hold the door switch closed. The fan does not come on unless the door sensor switch is closed. Steve M Alvin , TX December 18, 2015 Appliance: Model RS261MOWP Evaperator fan motor Initially called repair man and he checked it out , took about half of the freezer insides out to decide the fan was bad. Then he informed me that he did not have part and was going to be on vacation for a week. So I finished tearing apart the freezer to get to part removing the ice maker and rear panel, removed fan and ordered new parts, parts arrived as said and I put back together. Happy to say it is fixed. Read More... 34 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 1-2 hours Tools: Pliers, Screwdrivers
