Samsung DA61-08305A Refrigerator Flap Door Hinge OEM Part

I loosened middle hinge by the 2 screws which holds a power cord that clips together, then slid the hinge flap upward to release from the door. My bottom clip hinge was broken away from spring and the only way to attach a new hinge clip was to carefully separate the hinge flap. This can be done by squeezing the flap to see where the separation seams are. Small narrow screwdrivers along with a spatula will do without damaging the plastic. This allowed for acess to the spring which connects to a small hole in top of hinge clip. Be sure that hinge clip snaps in position before closing up flap. Clip power cord back together, slid hinge clips over mounts, reattach middle hinge and you're done

Ordered new hinge which was received in less than 24 hours and fixed it in 10 minutes after watching a you tube video

1st I did not find the part to fix it, so I epoxy-ed it, it was OK for a year, then broke again. This time I found it (cause I discovered this site when repairing GE Stove display). I bought a couple of them hinges, cause it seems like bottom hinge breaks a lot - mostly when you close left door with the mullion (flap) turned and right door is closed - mullion will bang on the right door and hinge goes.

The top one is a piece of cake. The bottom one is spring loaded and requires a complete disassembly for replacement. Instructions provided by Samsung are useless.

My Dec-2015 Samsung French door mullion bottom hinge broke. I ordered 3 replacement hinges, just in case. I followed YouTube video to dissemble mullion and replaced the bottom hinge. I also used spray silicon on each of the 3 hinges (especially bottom that has the spring that flips mullion into open and closed position). Take your time disassembling mullion as the insert/frame assembly and defrost foil must remain undamaged. For my model the entire frame needed to come off, so I didn’t need to remove the insert (found out after everything was apart).
