Alessandro F San Jose , CA March 07, 2015 Leaking during rinse/spin stage Replacing the upper nozzle connector did the trick. I could not see damage in the older upper nozzle, it is possible that I could have fixed this just by tightening the parts - but i am happy I purchased both the upper nozzle and check valve ball, it feels good to have installed brand new parts in the washer. Thomas R Millstone , NJ October 14, 2017 Appliance: Samsung Washer WF448AAW/XAA Plastic check ball valve was leaking. Ordered the part of the check valve body that was leaking and a new ball for the check valve, put the parts together and it fixed the problem, the only problem was plugging the small tube which my machine does not use, I simply made a small pin and glued it in the small tube with some high strength lock tite, easy fix !! So with the cost of the parts (crazy amounts for shipping), over $300 for a new floor (as the other was totally ruined by the flood of water from the machine) and three days of my time to reconstruct the laundry room, I'd say all went well. John H San Antonio , TX June 20, 2020 Appliance: Samsung Washer WF448AAE/XAA Upper nozzle had a pinhole leak caused by excessive heat. Changed the three nozzle parts ( gasket had to be transferred since it is unavailable) No more leaks but steam function didn't work. Found steam nozzle mounted in the door seal and the tubing connecting it to the heater element was completely plugged up. Everything else was clean. Now steam works great. I can see the drum cloud up as it squirts gushes of steam in there. Read More... 1 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 2+ hours Tools: Pliers, Screwdrivers
