M David T West Grove , PA May 01, 2020 Appliance: Samsung Electric Range FE710DRS/XAA-0001 Needed to replace the top convection motor on my samsung electric range Go inside the oven and remove the fan cover. Take the nut off of the fan (it may be a reverse nut), then remove the fan and the spacer. Open the back of the range, unplug the old fan motor and remove it (3 screws). Install the new fan motor assembly. The electric plug may not match up with the new motor, I cut the plug in half and put the 2 small plugs on the terminals. Back inside the oven, replace the spacer, fan and cover. David P Scottsdale , AZ October 18, 2017 Appliance: Samsung Range NE594R0ABSR/AA-0000 NEe594r0ASR/AA fan failure James B's advice is spot on. My older model has a different harness connector spacing than the electrical connector on the replacement motor, so I made a couple of short jumper cables. Took 10 - 15 minutes or so, including a bit of file work. Once that was done James B's protocol is, IMHO, perfect. It's a super easy fix, electrical mods excepted. BTW, My appliance repair store quoted $322 for this fix. The parts from Appliance Parts Pros cost about $90 with shipping.... Thanks, Appliance Parts Pros. Read More...
