Dryer stopped heating Mark L. • Parkersburg , WV • March 30, 2020
Our heating element had broken coils. Typed model number in to see which parts were likely to fix the problem. AppliancePartsPros told me exactly which parts to try. For the cost, it seemed the best decision was to order the complete Heating Element Assembly, rather than risk needing the two smaller parts as well. Decided to order new vent as well. The parts arrived super fast and the on-site video showed step-by-step how to install the new part. From diagnosis to drying laundry in less than 48...

Changed the dryer vent location from the rear to the right side Andrew K. • Santa Clara , CA • April 16, 2014
Used the Wpl. Vent Kit, 4-way. This is not a quick, easy job. You have to disassemble the dryer, removing the entire front, door, drum, and control panel. Take your time and take pictures as you go so you can get it all back together again after installing the conversion kit. It will take you at least an hour, and you need room to work. Also, remember that after converting the dryer over to left or right vent, you now have a wider dryer with the ducting sticking out the side. (4") Make sure it...

It turned out that the vent from dryer to outside had a build up of lint causing the thermal fuse to blow Wallis M. • Somerset , KY • February 20, 2017
I went on line and to get info on what to do, which was to test the 3 components on the heating element assembly. No reading on the thermal fuse indicated it had blown. That and cleaning out the vent system (which is to be done yearly) solved the problem. I thank God that the fuse blew or the lint would have caught fire. CLEAN OUT THAT VENT YEARLY

I had a dead front dual burner on our kitchen aid range no error code Francis V. • Shelton , CT • April 04, 2015
I replaced the controller. I had a heck of a time figuring out how to get to it. The video on the website showed access to the control via the rear panel. On the Kitchen Aid we have, the back panel is part of the range's main frame and does not come off. Turns out, 2 screws behind the fluorescent lamp had to be removed and the entire control panel housing lifts up and can be tilted forward. (I needed to clean behind the range anyway, so it was no big deal)!!

Dryer light was out Michael B. • Montville , NJ • April 28, 2017
First I tried changing the light bulb. Unfortunately that didn't do the trick. The next thought was the socket itself. I ordered the part from APP, which as usual, was very easy and arrived in 2 days. I removed the back cover from the dryer and easily replaced the socket. Screwed in a new light bulb and we were back in action with light! Truly very simple process.
