I replaced the stirrer fan cover and fan, which had some carbon and slight burn marks on it. It was difficult to remove the fan cover as it did not rotate. I had to pry it off with a flat blade screwdriver, breaking the plastic tabs on the cover (which was being discarded anyway). I then cleaned any visible carbon deposits and replaced the cover and fan, using the old stirrer fan holder as it appeared OK. I "Goggled" the problem and Appliance Parts Pros.com came up with a picture of the exact part that I needed. The total cost plus postage was $192, when I could replace the entire Microwave for $250. That meant I would have to remove the old unit that was only one year old and install the new unit. It would have taken at least a full day to purchase, and re-install the new unit, if I was lucky.

I looked up online what that meant and found the answer here on APpliancePartsPros. Not only did I find the answer, I found out I could fix it myself, so instead of replacing a $380 microwave oven I just fixed it. I ode red the part number DE94-01647A and looked on their site for instructions to install it. It only took me 20 minutes to complete the project. Totally recommend this place for all your appliance needs.
