Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Leaks from around the door and from the pump motor   Samuel M. • Sudbury , MA • January 12, 2016

1. To fix the leaks from around the door, I replaced the upper and lower door seals. These were purchased in a separate transcation, so they are not the parts shown here. The upper door seal worked as intended, but the lower seal would not stay in place on the lower edge of the door during a wash. Therefore I cleaned the grease and detergent off the old seal, and installed using silicone sealer/adhesive. The plastic edge pieces for the lower seal were supplied with the kit, and they installed... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Loud dishwasher producing dirty dishes   Leon F. • Sylmar , CA • November 11, 2015

I nearly shelled out for a new Kitchenaid when I remembered APP and entered my model # just for fun. The interactive diagrams and install videos showed where all the parts "should" be, mine were badly disintegrated, so I replaced the damaged ones and swapped out all of the other easily accessible seals and bearings (also gave it a good and very disturbing cleaning). My parts surprisingly arrived next day and for about $40, the dishwasher is quiet and works like new again. Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Dishwasher would not drain completly.   Bret S. • Henderson , NV • March 31, 2014

Ordered the pump/motor assembly to replace. There is no video for this exact model, so there were a couple of surprises. There was an extra hose connection (looks like for overflow) which was simple to connect to the new unit, and the old motor had a countersink this appears to not be necessary for the replacement (there is no place for to attach the countersink). I say appears because I could find no reference that told me it was not necessary. The dishwasher now drains completely. Read more
