Samuel M Sudbury , MA January 12, 2016 Appliance: Model KUDM35SHBL1 Leaks from around the door and from the pump motor 1. To fix the leaks from around the door, I replaced the upper and lower door seals. These were purchased in a separate transcation, so they are not the parts shown here. The upper door seal worked as intended, but the lower seal would not stay in place on the lower edge of the door during a wash. Therefore I cleaned the grease and detergent off the old seal, and installed using silicone sealer/adhesive. The plastic edge pieces for the lower seal were supplied with the kit, and they installed and worked correctly. 2. The parts shown here are gaskets, o-rings, and a tool for the pump and motor assembly. They installed and worked correctly, but the seal kit (Whirlpool # 675703) includes seal rings 302711 & 302710. The website should warn the customer if he is separately ordering redundant parts that are included in a kit. 3. The new o-ring for the discharge check valve (# 357574), did not stop the leak ffrom the joint with the pump body, so I coated the trheads with automotive silicone sealer (RTV) to solve that problem 4. I found videos on YouTube with clear replacement isntructions. 5. Note that the "screwdrivers" listed below are actual Torx driver. For my dishwasher, a 15 mm Torx driver was required. Brad W Sheboygan , WI March 19, 2019 Appliance: Model WHIRLPOOL/KENMORE PORTABLE DISHWASHER Food particles and grit on dishes from dishwasher Replace filter unit and pump seal kit. This is a pretty straight forward repair. Removal requires a few tools: small socket set, a few torx bits, and a little patience to clean out the extra soap and crud that collects below the filter assembly around the impeller and pump. Diagnosis is also fairly straightforward as you will begin to see and feel grit on your dishes, especially on the top rack and you will see that the filter is full of the same grit. To access the filter, simply remove the lower rack and the water impeller arm and cover and you will be right there. David K Allen Park , MI February 02, 2019 Appliance: Kenmore Dishwasher 66515762000 Leaking from the corner in front I went to Youtube and found a few suggested repairs related to my problem. After trying the "easy" fix" (clean the door seal) it still leaked. I found one that mentioned a bad seal, so I decided to remove the lower spray arm, and discovered the seal was coming out from the side of the pump outlet. I went to your website to find the parts I needed. After seeing the kits for the pump seal and the Drain and washer impeller, I decided to get them both and make a complete 'refurbish'. What impressed me the most was the "how-to" videos that took you step by step through the process of disassembling and reassembling. I followed the video each step of the way, and in less that an hour (not including the cleaning of reusable parts and the pump outlet) I had it back together and working like new! I'm not sure if it's always the case, but the model used in the video was identical with mine, which made me very comfortable with the task. Thank you!! I will definately be using Appliance Pro's the next time I need to repair an appliance Read More... 3 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes Tools: Nut Drivers, Screwdrivers, Socket Set, Wrench Set
