Fix a trash compactor ram that won't move, binds, or stalls. This power nut threads onto the drive screw to restore smooth up-and-down ram travel.
Removed top plate and replaced power nuts ONE at a time (so ram does not fall). Make sure the threaded rods stick up the same amount above the top of the power nuts on each side (about 2 turns on each nut) when fastening nut covers. Now the compactor is good for another 30 years! Read more
