Door latch strike.
Assessed the situation and determined that the metal strike was broken. The unit did not work and no power due to this. Looked up the part with the model number and installed in less than 10 minutes. Unit worked immediately. The two screws require a star wrench or small nut driver for removal. Very easy! Read more

I had no hope of separating the panel from the frame without damaging the frame since the two parts were rusted pretty badly and the screws holding the panel to the frame were completely beyond salvage. So I had to replace both the panel and the frame. I ended up removing the electrical/electronic connections, removing the panel/frame from the hinge and then replacing it with the new parts. Replaced broken part. This was a simple fix. The only complication was that SEARS sent me the WRONG PART THREE TIMES and the first part they sent WAS BROKEN. I found these guys on line, found the part by number, looked at a photograph instead of crappy drawing, and had the part in three days. Should have come here first. Read more
Seal included. This sump housing assembly includes a 31-31.5 millimeter hole for the thermistor. If the hole for the thermistor is 32.17 millimeters you will need to order WP8572618.
