• Pull the old knob straight off the control shaft; press the replacement onto the shaft until fully seated.
• If the knob is brittle or stuck, gently pry with a non-marring tool to avoid damaging the control panel.
• Disconnect power to the appliance before attempting any repair if access requires removing panels.
• If the control shaft is damaged or loose, replace or repair the underlying control assembly rather than relying on the knob alone.
