Replaced the Left Door Holder Assembly (part # AP4439134). Carefully removed the cover, napped out the broken assembly, snapped in the new assembly, and replaced the cover. Read more
After trying to glue the assembly back 3 different times I decided to look and see if it was a part I could buy. To my surprise it was! I replaced the ice maker assembly, which included the motor and electronics. I also replaced the door seal and the input cold air duct seals. The ice maker is mounted with only 2 philips screws, so it is easy to remove. The most difficult part is the harness, specifically the ground screw. The issue is that the wire is short and you need to turn the unit in order to get a screwdriver in.
