With help from appliance parts pros video, I was able to remove and replace the bearing/clutch assembly. While I had the assemble removed I remove the water pump cleaned and replaced it. The hoses were good and I did not need to replace them however I did not properly apply the hose clamp to the tub and it separated when I was ready to start it again. It holds everything in place and has several cut-out areas for the lint compartment and other components of the machine. This part is made of strong materials but can be damaged over time. If it is broken or missing, the part should be replaced.When replacing the top cover, unplug the washing machine and shut off the water supply first. A pair of work gloves can be used to protect the hands. Open the door and look near the door opening for screws. Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove them. Lift up on the front edge of the top of the machine and access the other fasteners. Remove the top cover and place the new part in the same location. Reattach it to the washing machine while making sure everything is properly lined up.The top cover is sold individually and directly sourced from the manufacturer.
