I went at this all wrong! I managed to do it without moving the suspension springs by pushing the drum down to make room to slide it out towards the back - don't do it. Yes I got it to work, but the other way with moving the top springs to other holes and removing the top metal plate would be MUCH easier. There is a YouTube video on this that I highly recommend - just wish I had seen it earlier. This part didn't come with any instructions. Read more
Using a utube video that showed the step by step process I was successful (57 year old widow). The only part I struggled with was the screw threading of the plate and being able to hold and reach the screws at the same time. Other than that it just took me time. Because the front was off the lint cover was a breeze. Read more
