We replaced the whole timer/clock unit. This small plastic button covers the electrical connection point where the range plugs into the wall outlet, located on the back of the unit. Replace if the button is cracked, missing, or doesn't properly cover the plug connection.

Replaced the burner, pan, ceramic block and the control. The control was the problem replacing it. 1.) control did NOT match the "B" type with regard to connection placement on the instruction sheet. 2.) The Instruction sheet was dated 1988! How about a revised sheet with the CORRECT diagram of the back of the control. 3.) H1 connection is actually 2 pins. Which is confusing in the least and can contribute to mis connections of H1 and H2 which causes a short circuit and trips the breaker!... Read more
