I took the cover off the transmission and determined that the only possible knocking had to be coming from the yoke. I ordered a new yoke and all the tub seals needed to put it back together like new. I also ordered a new drive pulley bearing because this bearing is always turning whenever the washer is used. One day my wife went to bake something and the bake/broil buttons as well as #3, #9, and oven light ceased to work. Local repair guy came by and wanted to charge $500 to fix it....YEAH RIGHT! Ordered Bake Element, Y04100019 (Whirlpool AP4283614) to replace a broken bake element on my 30-year old Jenn-Air Model S125 Downdraft Slide-in electric range. Here's the story. All my appliances except the dryer broke. Yeah. talk about bad luck. First I tried to fix the refrigerator. Replaced both motherboard and inverter board. Now it wakes up but the compressor does not kick in. Need another part. The washer, well I have to pull out the sink to get enough room to pull out the washer to fix it. I first wanted to get the dishwasher running, before ordering the spring links. So I disassembled the pump / motor assembly to determine the reason the motor would not start. My wife cleaned all of the parts in the pump assembly. I took the motor apart and discovered that the lower bearing ( a sleeve type bearing) was dry and dirty, and was the culprit for the motor seizing. I cleaned up the bearing and lubricated it with SAE 20W. I also packed felt inside the cavity adjacent to the bearing.... Read more
