This replacement OEM part is a control board for refrigerators. It controls the digital display of the refrigerator. If the digital display is no longer visible and the buttons are no longer operating properly, it might be time to replace the control board. Luckily replacing the control board on a refrigerator with a digital display is a relatively simple process. To begin, start by unplugging the refrigerator. Then remove the display board by popping it out of the mounting brackets that attach to the refrigerator. Once the dispenser and display have been removed, access the old control board. Unfasten the screws attaching it to the refrigerator and remove the wire harness along with any individual wires. Be sure to take note of the orientation of the wires. Re-insert them into the correct terminals on the new board and reattach the new board to the refrigerator. reinstall the dispenser and display board and restore power to the refrigerator. This genuine replacement part is compatible with Whirlpool, Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Sears/Kenmore brand refrigerators.
I ordered a new interior control panel from Appliance Parts Pros and popped it in with no success. I was able to return the part money back and hassle free. I assessed that because the compressor was also not turning on that the issue could be the relay board. I was able to find the newest version of the board on Appliance Parts Pros easily and swap out the part. I replaced the relay board and everything started right up. My wife and I love our new fridge. This replacement cabinet screw secures panels, brackets, and ducts in Whirlpool-built appliances so components stay aligned and secure. Replacing missing or stripped hardware helps reduce vibration, rattling, and gaps that can affect performance.
The problem was that the motor coupler & shaft had a tiny bit of rust at their union. With the weight of the ice bin it rusted in the lowest position. This didn't allow the motor coupler to float on the shaft. There is a spring inside the shaft that pushes up on the motor coupler keeping it engaged in the ice bin coupler above. This coupler in turn rotates the auger in the bin to dispense the ice. I removed the motor coupler & shaft, tapped the coupler loose and filed off the rust. This allowed... Read more

Replaced extension While AP videos are very informative there is no current AP video showing an icemaker installed in the "long position" vs the wide position. This appliance has freezer across bottom and small compartment in the refrigerator for the ice maker. AP techs were basically unfamiliar with servicing this configuration. It was trial & error and discussions to get to the extension. Eventually it was learned the cover hiding the wiring harness had to be removed to free the wiring... Read more
