Replaced extension While AP videos are very informative there is no current AP video showing an icemaker installed in the "long position" vs the wide position. This appliance has freezer across bottom and small compartment in the refrigerator for the ice maker. AP techs were basically unfamiliar with servicing this configuration. It was trial & error and discussions to get to the extension. Eventually it was learned the cover hiding the wiring harness had to be removed to free the wiring harness. Proper removing of the cover was also unknown. Once cover removed, this freedom allowed the ice maker to slide forward. Despite removing 3 screws under the ice mold tray the ice maker could not be removed from the compartment. If the ice mold tray required replacement it could not have been done. Reaching back into the compartment and with some dexterity the extension was eventually hung in its required position. The ice maker now works fine. A video showing removal of ice maker from compartment would be appreciated, especially if repair involved ice mold tray , thermostat, etc. The repair itself was easy, getting the ice maker into he required position for this repair was difficult. Had the repair require removal of the ice maker sufficient info for this repair is lacking. Appreciation is acknowledged to AP personnel for their continuous assistance.
