First I ordered spark igniters but was unable to remove screw securing them. So decided to replace whole burner. Item went in well. It does work but takes a bit to ignite. I'm thinking in might need to replace screws, rusted, for better ground. It's odd that when burner is warm we have no problem with ignition. Hoping new screws will solve it. Read more

Remove all grates and burner caps plus the spill trays. Remove the two crews in each burner head and remove the connector for the ignition. Pull the four control knobs then the glass cover. Under the cover are two screws that hold the cover onto the counter top. Making sure that the gas is off remove the gas tube from the burner with the problematic control.
