This was a very easy fix. Two screws to get the front off of the washer. Removed one side of the tensioner spring. Loosened two screws for the motor and two screws for the pump. I decided to replace the agitate belt even though it wasn't broken.. So, I removed that belt from the pulleys and the removed the broken belt. then just reversed the process to install the belts. it toke me less than 30 minutes and my washer was back in service. Here's the story. All my appliances except the dryer broke. Yeah. talk about bad luck. First I tried to fix the refrigerator. Replaced both motherboard and inverter board. Now it wakes up but the compressor does not kick in. Need another part. The washer, well I have to pull out the sink to get enough room to pull out the washer to fix it. I suspected the main bearing had worn out, and I was right. It is a difficult job, because I am retired, I had the time. During disassembly, I found the hub had rusted really bad, it needed replacement. I did not buy special tools. The manufacturer repair manual says to use three OEM tools, I made some tools with wood.
