We found the pump online at AppliancePartsPros.com for our model of Maytag. When we found the part, there was a video posted that was for our exact pump and washer. After watching it, we called Appliance Parts Pros to verify the part. The customer service representative was incredibly helpful and confirmed our diagnosis. We ordered the pump as well as hoses and clamps in case we needed them. We ordered them overnight delivery and the customer service rep said that we might not receive it... Read more

After hunting the web for info on causes for this problem and finding only vague information, I found Appliance Pros website. By this time, i had narrowed the problem to either the drive hub or the Control board, which is about $150 difference in cost between the two!! I used the site's info on how to run the automatic diagnostics test. This gave me a C8 failure (drum wouldn't spin). I followed the directions for the manual motor tests and everything passed. I then went through the parts list... Read more

It acts as an air gap device installed on the drain line to ensure proper water levels are maintained. Replace this kit if your washer is not filling properly, takes too long to fill, or you notice water draining out as fast as it fills.

Washer outer tub assembly houses the inner basket and includes bearings and tub seal. Replace when cracked, damaged, or bearings are worn out.
Posted my problem on APP's Question and Answer Forum. Was concerned about liquid trapped in top and bottom plastic rings of SS laundry basket when I removed it. Was advised by APP's tech service this was normal and is added during manufacturing to add weight to improve efficiency of spin cycle. I purchased and replaced the outer tub with a new shaft, bearings and seal already assembled (about the same price as purchasing shaft/bearing/seal assembly and installation tool without the tub). Whole... Read more

This is a rubber or foam impact absorber pad that sits between the outer tub and the washer frame to dampen vibration and reduce noise during the spin cycle. These pads wear down over time from repeated compression. Replace this part if your washer is excessively noisy, vibrates heavily during spinning, or if the existing pad appears flattened or deteriorated.
