After many years of excellent service the burner I use most often on the top of my JenAir range rusted through. After trying to remove the burner, which was firmly rusted into place, I decided to replace the cooktop pan, both burners and igniters. It was an easy repair to swap out the new parts for the old, and the only tool necessary was a #2 phillips screw driver. I pulled up a YouTube video of the Maytag repair for the part. After I had a visual of what to do, I took the door off the stove, removed the trim pieces in order to get the front cover off, then removed the broken trim piece the door handle attaches to, put the new part on (and it looks amazing!). Put the door back together and placed the door back into place. It was a very easy fix, but took a little bit longer since I have not done this repair before. But I feel that even a beginner would... Unfortunately, despite some dedicated efforts on the part Audrey Patrick and others, the problem was not solved. I replaced the door hinges, liner and gasket, but none of these solved what I believe is a flawed design. Thankfully, AppliancePartsPros generous return policy allowed me to pursue the repair without risking the cost of failure. My thanks to the company and to all those who were involved. Read more

Very easy fix. Remove oven door by just opening it slightly and pulling up. (an easy way to clean it too). Then, with a phillips screw driver, remove two screws holding the damaged element in place. Slowly pull the element toward the front a couple inched to expose the wires. Disconnect the wires (no tools needed), remove the old element and replace it with the new.
