This heater harness installs in the refrigerator's fresh food section. It provides defrost heat and the correct wiring connections to clear frost from the fresh food evaporator, restoring airflow so the compartment cools evenly and reliably.
I replaced the evaporator fan after using a steam gun to defrost the evaporator and ensuring the drain wasn't clogged. After assembling, I noticed the refrigerator wasn't performing a defrost cycle.
