The repair was easy and completed within 30 minutes. I also replaced the drum bearing pads. Because of the worn parts, the drum actually cut thru the existing light socket wires, so I probably could have just spliced them together to fix, but . Three screws on back of dryer to open up control area. Note the location of the 5 wires connected. Quarter turn to remove old part. Quarter turn to reinstall new part. Hook up wires to appropriate terminals. Reassemble control area panel. Check for proper operation. Read more

Removed front of dryer and back access plate allowing me to see that the pipe just slipped over the blower. A small tab in the back cover was inserted inside the left side of the pipe and when I straightened the tab I could move the pipe to the right and then straight out. Replacement of the pipe was the reverse. The new pipe did not have a hole for the tab, so I bent the tab to its original position, and rested the pipe against the tab. This motor plate is the stamped metal mounting plate that secures the motor assembly and keeps it aligned for smooth operation. It restores proper motor positioning and reduces vibration-caused noise or wear. What it does:
Replaces a worn, damaged, or misaligned dryer motor pulley. Guides the drive belt and transfers motor power to the drum for proper rotation.
Replaced belt, pulley with a 4 grove pulley. Pulley that was on there was a 3 grove pulley, Had to cut the old one off, Press on to shaft. Replaced rear drum bearing. Bearing was locked on with a snap ring. Access to it from a removable plate on the back side of dryer. Reset belt and idler puller by removing a long back plate on the bottom rear side of the dryer.
