By GE. This three-coil kit fits older GE, Hotpoint, and RCA dryers with three-coil gas valve. Comes with igniter bracket.
A chat with an appliance parts pro rep said it sounded like a problem with the coils. I gave her the model number of my dryer and she said she'd get with the techs and then get back to me in a day or two. She sent me information on a replacement coil set along with a schematic. This safety switch is mounted inside the dryer and monitors internal temperature to prevent overheating by shutting off the heating element when temperatures exceed safe limits. Replace if the dryer runs but produces no heat, cycles on and off frequently, or stops mid-cycle without completing the drying process.

A fabric strip that seals the gap between the dryer drum and front panel to prevent air leaks. Replace if you notice lint escaping from the front of the dryer, reduced drying efficiency, or if the seal is visibly worn or damaged.
After taking off the top and front panels to access the drum, it was easy to see what the problem was. The front drum support was worn through and the 3 drum support glides were gone. The rear drum bearing was also completely worn out. And while I had the dryer apart I also replaced the idler pulley and drive belt. The only hard part was putting the drive belt back on the motor shaft and idler pulley. The dryer is back to drying clothes like a new machine. Read more
