This is a metal clip that secures the drive motor in place within the dryer cabinet. It clamps around the motor housing to prevent movement during operation. Replace this clip if it is broken, missing, or bent, which can cause the motor to shift and create excessive vibration, rattling noises, or belt misalignment.

This is the resistive coil heating element that generates heat inside the dryer drum to dry clothes. It is rated at 208 volts, which is commonly found in apartment or commercial installations rather than the standard 240-volt residential supply. Replace this element if the dryer runs but produces no heat, takes excessively long to dry clothes, or if the coil is visibly broken or damaged.
I took the front of the dryer off and after a few tests for continuity, I discovered the heating element had completely broken apart. I ordered the element to restring it into the housing. It was easy to do and took about 30 minutes to do. Read more

Replaced the control board after removing the inner door liner, plastice board cover and board itself, by removing screws, working various plastic clips/tabs and unclipping wire harnesses from board. most of time was spent cleaning the black soot from the door, which had a terrible burnt electrical/plastic fire smell. Cleaned mold/scale off of as much of the door as I could while in there as well. Removing parts without breaking plastic tabs to hold the new parts was trickiest part. Read more

I pulled out the old housing and unplugged the motor. It pretty much came out in pieces. Remove the plastic from the motor, then had to take a pair of vice grips to hold the spindle in place to remove the auger. Remove what was still attached to the old Housing. Cleaned everything up and put the whole unit back together. The motor looked like it was somewhat cooked but still worked, so I ordered a new motor and auger to replace it. I discovered a wire that broke off which caused the element not to work so I had to put a new female splicer on the broken wire then replaced the element and reattached the wires and everything worked.
