Replaced the control board after removing the inner door liner, plastice board cover and board itself, by removing screws, working various plastic clips/tabs and unclipping wire harnesses from board. most of time was spent cleaning the black soot from the door, which had a terrible burnt electrical/plastic fire smell. I pulled out the old housing and unplugged the motor. It pretty much came out in pieces. Remove the plastic from the motor, then had to take a pair of vice grips to hold the spindle in place to remove the auger. Remove what was still attached to the old Housing. Cleaned everything up and put the whole unit back together. The motor looked like it was somewhat cooked but still worked, so I ordered a new motor and auger to replace it.
