Dryer not heating or shutting off early? The safety thermostat monitors temperature and cuts power when it gets too hot. Tests quickly with a multimeter.
The nylon slides on the front felt seal were worn out, allowing the drum to sag in the front. This is where our clothing would get caught and scorch. I replaced the felt, rear bearing kit and while I was that far, I replaced the belt as it's very inexpensive. All done for less than 10% of a new dryer purchase. Read more

This adjustable leveling leg supports your dryer and allows you to level the appliance on uneven floors. It screws into the dryer's base and can be raised or lowered to eliminate rocking or vibration. Replace it when the leg is bent, stripped, or won't adjust properly, causing your dryer to be unstable or noisy.

Replaced the Idler Pulley, which I think was the problem, but also replaced the bearing the tub rotates on and the belt while I was going to have the dryer apart anyway (and I used the high Temp Lubricant on the bearing.) Watching the repair video was helpful so I didn't run into any surprises. Read more
