Lower Wash Arm Bearing (Lower Spray Arm)
Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: WP719576

This lower wash arm bearing keeps the dishwasher's lower spray arm turning smoothly so dishes get even water coverage. It replaces a worn bearing to reduce noise and restore proper spray-arm rotation. What it does:

  • Reduces grinding or scraping noises caused by a worn bearing
  • Prevents wobbling or misalignment of the lower spray arm
What's included: Bearing as shown Install notes:
  • Disconnect power and shut off the water supply before starting any repair
  • Inspect the spray arm and mounting surfaces for damage; clean before installing the new bearing

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Leaking from the pump motor.   Kevin H. • Phoenix , AZ • March 15, 2018

After discovering that these parts were not the problem. I found replacements for the impeller online and replaced those parts plus these parts. Disassembly was difficult and one bolt inside of the motor shaft had to be drilled out. Other than that, these replacement parts were an exact fit and the video on your page made the replacement no problem. Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Leaks from around the door and from the pump motor   Samuel M. • Sudbury , MA • January 12, 2016

1. To fix the leaks from around the door, I replaced the upper and lower door seals. These were purchased in a separate transcation, so they are not the parts shown here. The upper door seal worked as intended, but the lower seal would not stay in place on the lower edge of the door during a wash. Therefore I cleaned the grease and detergent off the old seal, and installed using silicone sealer/adhesive. The plastic edge pieces for the lower seal were supplied with the kit, and they installed... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You The door of the dishwasher fell open and was heavy   Donald A. • Lynden , WA • March 11, 2017

I replaced both support springs. It took several tries to get the springs installed in the correct orientation, even though I had read--and thought I understood--the instructions. The retainer side pin must be fed through the slot with the adjustment notches, and then latch it in the proper notch. As my usual rule of thumb, I start in the middle notch, and adjust further if necessary. This time the middle notch was correct. I used a screwdriver handle as a wedge on the one side of the... Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Small water leak to floor from the front of the machine some of the water had entered the 4 prong connector causing corrosion high contact resistance and melting of the connector in part   Arthur O. • Dunwoody , GA • January 16, 2016

1.Removed the electrical connector and replaced with new 16 gauge wires soldered in place and insulated. 2. Removed old door gasket and retainer and replaced with new gasket and retainer, using new screws. [The repair video associated with this repair kit is incorrect. The gasket is installed in a retainer which is mounted on the dishwasher frame, typical of most Whirlpools. Your video shows a gasket, but no retainer, being installed in the door of the dishwasher, typical of most Maytags.] 3... Read more
