A V-belt is responsible for transmitting energy. It is made from a thick and sturdy rubber material. It features grooves for improved traction and measures ½ x 95-1/2. A worn-down v-belt can lead to inefficient energy loss, and therefore poor performance. Installing this v-belt requires pliers and a wrench. First, the spark plug wire needs to be removed. Then, position the mower deck to the lowest possible level. Move the machine's blade engagement level to OFF. Remove the belt found from the engine pulley. Don't forget to take out the bow-tie pins and blade engagement cable as well. Remove the bolt from the pulley cover and loosen the nuts found at the idler pulley. Put the new belt and then tighten the nuts on the idler pulleys. The deck can now be re-assembled to its original position. This Husqvarna 532144959 V-Belt OEM Replacement can help keep a lawnmower in top condition. This genuine Husqvarna made V-belt is specifically for driving the blades on a lawnmower. It is compatible with Ariens, Craftsman, Poulan Pro, Dixon, and Husqvarna mowers. This V-belt is sold individually.
