Replacement drum baffle installs inside your dryer to lift and tumble clothes during drying. Replace if cracked, broken, or mounting holes are stripped out.
I ordered two new baffles and 7 screws. I also ordered 6 large washers. We were running with one baffle held by only 2 of 3 screws. It appears that a repairman in the past had removed the large washers and over time, the screw heads reamed out the hole, causing the baffles to detach and break. In about 15 minutes, I was able to tighten up the existing baffle and add the two new ones. I also added the 6 big washers to help strengthen this to prevent future issues. Just as the folks in the comments section said, I tested everything to make sure the timer had power which it did. I then tested with the OHM tester and saw that the switch was open when the timer was set to any drying cycle. So i changed the timer and voila! timer is functioning again. It was a very easy fix. I unscrewed the 3 Phillips screws on the back of the dryer controls housing, then it folds forward for access to each control switch. the old one popped out, and I swapped the wires using a needle nose pliers, one by one, from the old switch to the new switch. The part was an exact fit, and popped right back into the housing. I screwed the 3 screws back in, pushed on the new knob, and it looks and works like new ! Read more
