Felt seal that fits around your dishwasher's door vent to contain steam and moisture. Replace if you notice condensation or minor leaks during cycles.
Replaced the felt seal and door vent assembly by removing the inside panel of the door and cleaning off the old seal and replacing with the new one. The vent assembly simply snapped out and was easy to replace with the new one. No more leaks and Mother was happy. Removal of the screws required a torx screw driver and someone to hold the door open while the panel was replaced. Easy fix. Read more

1. To fix the leaks from around the door, I replaced the upper and lower door seals. These were purchased in a separate transcation, so they are not the parts shown here. The upper door seal worked as intended, but the lower seal would not stay in place on the lower edge of the door during a wash. This is the electric heating element located at the bottom of the dishwasher tub that heats water during wash cycles and provides heat for the drying cycle. It is a looped metal element that generates heat when electrical current passes through it. Replace this part if your dishwasher is not heating water properly, dishes come out wet or cold after the drying cycle, or if the element is visibly damaged or burned through.
